Lockdown 2020, Leandra Ashton’s mother (a retired nurse) who chose to take her deteriorating 95+ year old mother out of a care home and subsequently got arrested because she wanted to take care of her.
They claimed they only had a Lasting Power of Attorney for her Financial Affairs but did not have one made up for her Health & Wellbeing.
A disturbing and emotional position to be in when all they wanted was to take care of of her and one of her potential last wishes.
Had the right individuals had a registered Lasting Power of Attorney for her Health & Welfare things would have been a lot more different.
